Why did she sell gold
I knew she was hiding something. I was perfectly aware she wants to do something I would not let her do. She was sitting in front of her computer for hours every evening, concentrated on something I was not allowed to look at. She said it was private, but there had never been any secrets between us. Or at least none that I knew of. She also started making some strange telephone calls. Her telephone was ringing all the time. She sometimes told me she had to leave me for a minute. Once I heard her talking to somebody in the hall. I did not hear the details of this conversation, but I think that at the end she said something about having to sell gold as quickly as possible. I froze. I had inherited some gold bullion from my grandfather the year before. Was she talking about my gold? I did not tell her I suspected anything, of course. One evening, she left home to meet a friend. Or was it really a friend? Who knows? I did not trust her any more. I turned on her computer and started searching for some clues. She had been looking for something on the net. Sell gold and bullion bars were the phrases she had been using. At that point, I decided to take some important steps. I went to the bank to withdraw the gold. But it was not there. Somebody had withdrawn it the day before. How on earth did she manage to do that?
